Blog Sale Alert

Hello Ladies!

I might be having a blog sale anytime soon. I need to clear out my stuff since I have been hoarding a lot of makeup items which I haven't really been using. Most of the items I might have only used once or five times at most but clearly I will indicate it on the description.

Stay tuned!!

First Look: Lorac Pro 2 Palette

Sorry for being MIA again :( Me and my husband were busy doing errands because we are having a mini vacation towards the end of this month! Yaaaay! We needed to buy stuff for our relatives and went here and there that's why I wasn't able to visit my blog...

So anyway, as promised, I will be doing my first impression on the Lorac 2 palette.

My friend Kaoyee from the US agreed on our International Swap. She gave me a lot of products and this was one of the items that I received from her. Again, Kaoyee, girl...if you are reading this one, be ready for your package because I'm filling it up!

The Lorac Pro Palette was a big hit to most beauty junkies all over the world. It was a neutral palette which consisted a lot of earthly colors. Pro Makeup Artists prefer carrying the Lorac Pro Palette than the Urban Decay Naked Palette because it was more versatile.

Many makeup junkies (myself included) got the news that Lorac will be releasing a second Pro Palette. It came out in the States a few months back and I saw a lot of YouTube gurus making their first impression on the palette. I am a follower of @coffeebreakwithdani and most of the reviews that she made are quite accurate. She didn't like this palette at all. In fact, she returned it to Ulta after giving her first impression on it.

When I saw the palette, it was really gorgeous. I mean, the shades were what I would normally use on a day to day basis. Having Dani's impression on the palette, I was priveledged enough to own one, thanks to my friend Kaoyee.

The palette consists of 16 shades and here are the shades as seen on the picture:

Upper: Buff, Lt. Brown, Cool Gray
Bottom: Snow, Beige, Rosé

Upper: Nectar, Plum, Navy
Bottom: Mocha, Chrome, Silver

Upper: Charcoal, Black
Bottom: Jade, Cocoa

It also contains a small-size primer. I can say that the consistency is very similar to the Urban Decay primers.

My First Impression:

I like the shades of the palette, as what I said earlier. The shades here are typical of what I would lean towards to when I wear my day-to-day makeup.

Texture: The texture of the eyeshadows are quite powdery. I don't know...it feels very soft that you might feel you will have a lot of fall-outs when you use it. I played with the palette several times already but I didn't have any problem when it comes to fall-outs.

Pigment: The eyeshadows are quite pigmented especially the ones with no shimmer on it. My favorite shadow in the palette is Rosé. My least favorite is Buff.

Packaging: I love that the packaging is very slim. Unlike the Urban Decay Naked palettes, theirs is very bulky. I travel often and packing is an A+ for me. Very slim and very light. I also love that it is color grey.

Those are my initial thoughts of the palette. Of course opinions change from person to person, so I want to hear from you! What is your first impression on the Lorac 2 Palette? Let me know on the comment section below :)

Postman came and brought a surprise from the USA

I was feeling a bit off today because of the errands I had to do...literally, awhile ago, I had to rush down to get our laundry at the laundromat and then came up...a few minutes later, the postman came knocking...I wasn't even going to rush and open the door, I waited for a second knock and then I finally opened...and tadaaaaahhhh, I got my package from Kaoyee...my second swap partner from the United States.

I was literally blown away because it was 4kg heavy...

She also wrapped each item in lovely Japanese paper.

Treats, chocolates and candies...my husband will surely love them...

I knew that she was going to give me a Lorac Pro 2 but didn't really expect this much of items. I was just expecting maybe 2 items that was Lorac and Urban Decay but the Too Faced Palette was a surprise...we only talked about getting 5 items for our swap but she gave me a LOT literally...

So Kaoyee, because you cheated on our deal (not that I'm complaining...I love everything in the package! It's all lovely) I'm sending a thank you package in return because I feel that my box is nothing compared to the one you sent me.

Korean Product Haul: CLIO Gelpresso Mini Eyeliner and CLIO Lipnicure

Hi guys! I'm back!!

I'm here to share with you guys my latest haul. CLIO is a Korean Cosmetic brand. As you can see, it is endorsed by none other than Sandara Park...primarily the reason why i bought the product...LOL :))

As far as I know, CLIO is the number 1 Korean eyeliner brand. Well, if Sandara Park uses it, it must be good...I really love her cat eyes. Very feminine...

I've seen this brand back. Some online sellers do have it but I think it's not yet sold legitimately in the Philippine market. Here in Malaysia, it's been launched recently at Watsons. It's found in the drugstore but it's not as cheap as E.L.F. or not as high end as Laneige. For a drugstore product, it's quite expensive...in my opinion.

I bought 2 from the rack which is Gelpresso - it contains 5 mini eyeliners which is waterproof and budge proof; and the Lipnicure. I've always been curious about the Lipnicure. There has been an obsession for Liquid Formulation lipsticks that when applied turns matte. When I first saw this, that was exactly in my head...sort of like the Limecrime velvetines.

That is the Limited Edition CLIO Gelpresso Pencil Gel Liner. Well...that's Sandara Park on the Warhol-ish cover. Pretty neat if you ask me ^_^

CLIO GELPRESSO PENCIL GEL LINER MINI HD COLOR EDITION

It is filled with sliding gel texture in the retractable mini auto pencil. It glides on smoothly and gives high-defined eye-line. Creamy and melting formula stays put all day long without smudge.

Contains 5 mini liners in cute colors

Golden Shine No. 9
Bloody Angel No.7
Deep Sea Blue No.10
Jade Green No.11
Golden Black No.5

CLIO VIRGIN KISS LIPNICURE

Manicure for the lips. Specially developed  to provide extreme long-lasting effect and high intensity colors for a flawless finish with a single touch upon lips.

I got the shade in 3 Crime Pink.

It's a muted coral-pink shade. I love this color.

It has a curved doe-foot applicator. I don't really find the applicator helpful. The packaging looks like a nail polish packaging.

When applied, it is a cream form. You have to wait 30 seconds for the Lipnicure to settle.

It becomes matte afterwards.

My thoughts on the product:

I haven't fully utilized the products but I will give my in depth review soon. First impression wise, I like the Gelpresso liners. It is very much waterproof. I tried it for maybe 4 times already and it doesn't come off easily. You need a makeup remover to get it off. I like the Lipnicure but it gives the chapped effect on my lips. I can't wear it alone. I need to buy the gloss for the Lipnicure.
