MAC launches the VIVA GLAM RIHANNA

Yet again another collaboration with Rihanna and MAC. I hope I can buy the VIVA GLAM RIHANNA lipstick before it becomes sold out. It says in the website that the color of the lipstick is blue-red with a frost finish.

Cleaning your Make Up Brushes 101

Recently I have been having skin problems specifically on my face. I'm usually not prone to acne and I am not used to having my skin breakout. I realized that my brushes, sponges and whatever I use to put on makeup has been very dirty and of course, I need to clean them up.

It takes a lot of time and effort to clean makeup brushes. You need to clean them with soap and water and then have it dried. It usually takes a lot of time for the brushes to dry up. Makeup brush solutions are quite expensive. Most of the makeup brush cleaners costs around P900 to P1000. It's very expensive if you ask me.

Most of these makeup brush cleaning solutions have one component that cleans the brush bristles and that is Isopropyl Alcohol. So what I do is I clean all my brushes with Isopropyl Alcohol. The solution should at most be 99.9 percent. I mean it should kill bacteria. That's primarily the purpose of it - clean the brushes and kill the bacteria in it. This is very economical especially to Make Up Artists. It is a fraction of a cost of those branded cleaners, plus it takes only 60 seconds to clean the brushes. Well at least for small brushes it takes 60 seconds to dry up.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette

I have been wanting to write this review for quite some time now and it took me a few weeks to write this one from the moment I got the palette at Sephora. By far, I have to say, this is my favorite out of the 3 Naked Palettes that Urban Decay launched.

I needed to try it out myself to see whether the palette was worthy of a good review and I have to say, this palette deserves more than a good review. The box includes the UD Naked 3 palette and a sample of the 4 primers which original, sin, eden and anti-aging.

As per the palette itself, I like that it has rose gold hues in it (more of the pink rose gold hues). It is completely different from the first two palettes which were more neutral in color (brown bronze colors). The shadows are highly pigmented. If you wear it with a primer, it won't crease.

My favorite colors from this palette are Dust, Burnout, Buzz, Limit and Trick. I love that it is almost Spring-Summer and the colors are just in time for the season. The colors are just absolutely stunning and for me, it works well because I have a pink undertone. It flatters my skin well. I just don't know if it works with Olive undertone and yellow undertones.

A con that I can say I have with this palette is maybe the brush which is included. It would have been better if they made the brush similar to the UD Naked 2 Palette. I like the blending brush tip with the UD Naked 2. This one has a double sided brush with a flat brush at the other end and the other end is like a rounded flat brush which I really don't use. Another con is the sample primers included in the UD Naked 3 Palette. I was expecting that it would be like the travel size primer which was the same with UD Naked or the travel size UD lipgloss which was included in UD Naked 2. It would have been better if they included a travel size primer.

Overall, I love love love this palette. I am a Urban Decay customer ever since and this is one of my favorites from Urban Decay and I would recommend it to people who have pink undertones like me.

Malaysia for Christmas

I went to Malaysia for Christmas break. I stayed there for about 3 weeks. I had a time-off and a much needed break from all the stress at work. It was really a break for me. For the first time, I didn't think about work and I relaxed. I love Malaysia. It's like my second home. So anyways, I want to share some pictures during my stay in Malaysia.

The iconic Petronas Twin Towers in KLCC. Of course, you have to visit KLCC when you are in KL.

Street sign

Overpass near the Ambassador road. This is in Jalan Ampang.

Christmas display at Suria KLCC. Suria is a mall located in the Golden Triangle. It's beside the Petronas Tower. It's a big high end mall. All of the brands are there.

Christmas Display at the Mid Valley Megamall. Not Megamall Ortigas but Megamall in KL. This is one of the biggest malls I've been to. Not to mention, it is connected to another mall. I think the mall is called the Gardens if I'm not mistaken.

Glow in the dark graffiti at the Aquaria at KLCC

Underpass sign. There is an underpass that connects the major destinations in KLCC. This is what I love in KL. Everything is connected. Train stations are connected. The airport is connected to the train station. Commuting is a breeze.

Happy New Year

I want I greet everyone Happy New Year! It's already 2014 and time to kill all those nasty habits from 2013. I've been busy the past few days because of the Mew Year's Eve celebration and because I'm going back to Manila soon. I am writing this entry while sitting here on the couch and waiting for the heater to warm up my water. I'll be posting pictures of what transpired during my Malaysia trip in my next entry.

Have a blessed 2014 guys and I wish everyone a prosperous year ahead.

Sending my Love from KL!
